What changed in July 2026

2026-07-23Big day: first hands-on virtual-card testing, a primary-source research pass, and official docs the site owner found directly resolve Crypto.com's long-standing cashback conflict plus most of Bybit/KAST/Lava/Coinbase's gaps. Tria, Bybit, and Coinbase are now fully verified.

CardTypeDetail
Avici CardcorrectedVirtual Platinum issuance fee corrected from $10 to $15 — a direct in-app screenshot of the card-generation screen supersedes the 2026-07-21 backward-inference from referral-payout math. Also resolved annual_fee_usd from unconfirmed to $0 by symmetry with the Physical tier.
ether.fi CashcorrectedDisclosed a previously-unknown $50 one-time physical-card fee (virtual remains $0, confirmed hands-on). Doesn't contradict the earlier 'no fees for standard purchases' quote — that answer was about transaction fees, not card issuance.
ether.fi CashcorrectedHands-on status flipped to true — virtual card set up and funded firsthand.
Tria CardcorrectedHands-on status flipped to true — Signature and Premium virtual cards set up firsthand, confirming both tiers' annual fees and cashback rates exactly as published.
KAST CardcorrectedHands-on status flipped to true — signup flow completed firsthand, confirming US region access and the full-screen referral-code prompt at signup.
Tria CardcorrectedNow fully verified. Resolved: no separate issuance fee (folded into the annual fee, confirmed on Tria's own US terms), no monthly fee anywhere in the fee schedule, and the extra 1%+1% international/USDC-settlement fees confirmed NOT to apply to this US-issued card (the international terms doc requires attesting non-US citizenship to even use it).
Gnosis Pay CardcorrectedGNO cashback tier thresholds now independently corroborated by multiple sources naming the same specific program (Intermediary Cashback Programme) — still not a direct primary-source fetch (help.gnosispay.com blocks automated access). New fact: that program has a stated end date, 2026-09-30 — needs re-checking at or before then.
Coinbase One CardcorrectedNow fully verified, and renamed 'Coinbase One Card' to match reality. The lead flagged earlier today is confirmed: this is a genuinely distinct Amex credit product from the legacy Visa debit Coinbase Card, requiring an active $49.99/yr-minimum Coinbase One membership (modeled as annual_fee_usd). FX fee resolved to 0%, ATM fee resolved (no fee from Coinbase, but cash-advance fees apply), regions corrected from ['us','eu'] to ['us'] only, monthly reward cap resolved to $10,000/mo. All confirmed via the site owner's own copy of help.coinbase.com's Coinbase One Card articles.
Lava CardcorrectedReal bank-transfer funding details found (ACH/wire/SEPA/PIX/SPEI rates), but currently limited to bank accounts in the USA, Europe, and Mexico — UK/Brazil/Australia are explicitly 'in the near future.' Stablecoin funding works everywhere regardless. Also logged, not applied: a non-primary third-party source claims the card is virtual-only with no ATM support at all, which would resolve the open ATM-fee question — but it conflicts with Lava's own FAQ (which lists physical-card-typical perks), so it's flagged as an open conflict, not trusted.
Bybit CardcorrectedNow fully verified. Regions resolved from empty to Australia/Asia-Pacific/rest-of-world (Argentina, AIFC, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Brazil, Peru) via the site owner's own copy of Bybit's official card-type table — not the US/UK/EU. This supersedes an earlier same-day web-search lead (EEA-based) that wasn't corroborated. Card type/network genuinely varies by region (Mastercard prepaid/credit vs. Visa prepaid/credit) — modeled as 'credit' representatively.
KAST CardcorrectedFX fee resolved to 1.75% (ceiling of a confirmed 0.5-1.75% range). Premium and Private's monthly reward caps resolved from unconfirmed to $10,000/mo and $40,000/mo respectively. Issuance fee resolved to $0 base cost on all 3 tiers (real add-on costs — $40 physical shipping, $2/extra virtual card — now disclosed in the review). All from the site owner's own copy of KAST's official fee page. Regions remain the only unresolved field.
Lava CardcorrectedRegions expanded from US-only to all 7 site regions — Lava's own FAQ states it's 'available globally,' and the US/non-US cashback split (3% vs 1%) only makes sense if non-US signups are genuinely supported. Card type corrected from 'debit' to 'credit' — Lava's own FAQ explicitly and repeatedly calls it a 'secured credit card,' not debit. Review content updated to match.
Crypto.com CardcorrectedThe 3-way cashback conflict that's been open since T1.2 is resolved: a dated (19 June 2026) official Crypto.com article the site owner found directly gives current rates matching the 2026-07-21 screenshot exactly. Plus resolved to 2% ($25/mo cap), Pro to 3% ($75/mo cap). 'Private' restructured into two real tiers by CRO stake — $50,000 stake (4%) and $500,000 stake (5%) — confirming what the screenshot had suggested. Result: Crypto.com's Pro tier now computes 3% / $30/mo at the $1,000/mo US default, moving it from effectively last place to tied for 3rd. FX and ATM fees remain unconfirmed on every tier.

2026-07-21First real, applied referral codes go live (ether.fi, Tria, Avici) plus two resolved data gaps found while applying.

CardTypeDetail
ether.fi CashcorrectedAdded EUR-specific cashback bands (Core/Luxe/Pinnacle) — materially lower top-band rate than USD. Referral program now has a real, live code.
Tria CardcorrectedReferral program now has a real, live code and confirmed 5-tier Ambassador commission ladder.
Avici CardcorrectedVirtual Platinum issuance fee resolved from unconfirmed to $10, via in-app referral-payout math. Referral program now has a real, live code.
KAST CardcorrectedStandard tier's monthly cashback cap resolved from unconfirmed to $2,000/mo, confirmed on KAST's own fees page.
