KAST Card Review (July 2026): The $1,000 and $10,000 Tiers Are Real
Last verified: 2026-07-12 · Desk research — hands-on testing pending
KAST's free Standard tier pays 1.5% cashback in USD, funded from USDC, USDT, or USDe. The Premium and Private tiers above it aren't cheap: $1,000/year and $10,000/year respectively — real prices, stated plainly on KAST's own pricing table, which I checked twice before writing this because the numbers looked like they might be a misparse. They weren't.
⚠ Some numbers behind this card aren't confirmed against a primary source yet — see the sources section below before relying on this for a real decision.
What it actually pays — and the math on the expensive tiers
Standard is free and pays 1.5%. Premium costs $1,000/year for 2% cashback — half a point more. Private costs $10,000/year for 3% — one more point on top of Premium. Here's the part KAST doesn't put in a table: to break even on Premium's fee from the extra 0.5% cashback alone, you'd need to spend roughly $16,700/month on the card. Private's extra point over Premium needs roughly $83,300/month to pay for itself. Neither tier is a cashback play — they're buying KAST Points multipliers, concierge access, and a metal card, not a better rate at any spend level a normal person hits.
I couldn't confirm whether Standard's 1.5% has a monthly cap. A competitor site's published effective rate for KAST (0.6% at its default spend level) lines up almost exactly with a ~$2,000/month cap on the 1.5% rate — but that's a secondary source, not KAST's own site, so the cap stays out of the data until I can confirm it directly.
One more honest gap: I haven't independently confirmed which regions KAST is available in, which is why the calculator above may show "not available" — that's a data gap on my end, not a claim that KAST doesn't operate where you are.
| Tier | Cashback | Annual fee | FX fee | ATM fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1.5% | 0/yr | unconfirmed | $3 + 2% per withdrawal |
| Premium | 2% | 1000/yr | unconfirmed | $3 + 2% per withdrawal |
| Private | 3% | 10000/yr | unconfirmed | $3 + 2% per withdrawal |
ATM withdrawals cost $3 + 2% per transaction across every tier — no tier discount on that one, which is worth knowing since some competitors waive ATM fees at their top tier and KAST doesn't appear to.
Hands-on
I haven't ordered this card yet — this review is desk research against KAST's own site and help center, not first-hand testing.
Who it's for
Spenders who want a free stablecoin-funded prepaid card at a straightforward 1.5% — Standard, on its own, is a reasonable pick. Premium and Private are for people who want the concierge/status perks and have already decided cashback isn't the point.
Who it's NOT for
Anyone comparing Premium or Private by effective cashback rate. The breakeven spend on both is far outside normal monthly card use — if you're picking a card purely to maximize cashback, this is a Standard-tier-only card.
I don't have a personal code live for this one yet — I'm not going to post one I haven't tested myself. Sign up directly with the issuer for now; this box updates the day I have a real, verified code.

FAQ
Is KAST's $1,000/year Premium tier a typo?
No. I checked KAST's own pricing page twice specifically because that number looked wrong — both times it's stated plainly as an annual price, not a spend threshold. Private is $10,000/year, same story.
Is Premium or Private worth it for the cashback alone?
Almost never. Premium's extra 0.5% over Standard needs roughly $16,700/month in spend just to break even on the $1,000/year fee. Private's extra 1% over Premium needs roughly $83,300/month. Both tiers are selling status and perks, not a better effective rate.
Does KAST's 1.5% Standard rate have a spend cap?
I couldn't confirm one on KAST's own site. A competitor's published effective rate for KAST lines up almost exactly with an unpublished ~$2,000/month cap, but that's a secondary source — not something I'll add to the data until KAST's own site confirms it.
What can I fund a KAST card with?
USDC, USDT, or USDe, confirmed on KAST's own site.
Are ATM fees waived on higher tiers?
No — $3 + 2% per withdrawal applies across Standard, Premium, and Private alike, confirmed on KAST's help center.
